2018: The 132nd Annual Meeting in Washington, DC

Washington, DC, January 4 - 7 2018

Theme: Race, Ethnicity, and Nationalism in Global Perspective

The 2018 annual meeting took place January 4-7, 2018, and was held in the Marriott Wardman Park, Omni Shoreham, and Hilton Washington hotels. The theme was "Race, Ethnicity, and Nationalism in Global Perspective," and outgoing president Tyler Stovall presented his address: "White Freedom and Our Lady of Liberty." This year was the first year the AHA held "Professional Pathways," a space for a range of events organized by Career Diversity for Historians. This meeting also featured our first-ever undergraduate poster session.
